A3 - Computer Comparison (ICS3U Version)

In this assignment, you will add two final slides to your slide show. Title the slides Computer #1 and Computer #2.

Next, find two computers online that are for sale. I would recommend looking at the Best Buy website, as they tend to give detailed information about the computers they sell. Look for two computers that are fairly different from each other, for example, a desktop and a chromebook.

On the final two slides you created, you should specify the following pieces of information about each computer:

  • The type of computer (example - Windows Desktop, Mac Laptop, etc)
  • The CPU speed
  • The number of CPU cores
  • The amount of cache
  • The amount of RAM
  • If it has and SSD and/or hard drive, and the amount of storage available in these

Hints

  • If you are looking up a computer on the Best Buy website, check out the Specifications section to find most of this information.
  • If the amount of cache is not specified, try looking for the model of the CPU. Then Google the CPU model and you should find a page (usually the first result) that tells you how much cache it has.
