A3 - Advanced Circuits

Requirements

Everything on this page will be considered an extension for grade 11 students.

Grade twelves need to complete two circuits on this page, or, in place of one or both, the extension(s) from the previous assignment.

These will all be done in Tinkercad. If you're really ambitious and we have the components, you could try one out on the project board.

Adders

Use the circuit diagrams previously provided to you.

• Option 1 - Full Adder
• Option 2 - Two bit Ripple Carry Adder (an extension of the full adder)

Timer Chips

Try one or more circuits on this page, involving the 555 Timer Integrated Circuit.

You could also try the circuit on this page, that also uses the CD4017 decade counter chip.
