A2 - Simple Vex Robot Programming
Overview
- Go to https://codev5.vex.com/.
- Connect the USB cable
- Under the Brain menu in the VEXcode program, press the Connect via USB button and select the communications port.
- When you have a program ready:
- In the VEXcode program, press Download
- If you're still connected to the computer via USB, you can press Start in the VEXcode program. Alternatively, you can start your downloaded program straight from the display on your robot.
Robot Configuration
You need to let VEXcode know the configuration of your robot. Do this by clicking on the Devices icon (as shown below), then add a device. Most of you will need to add a 2-wheel drivetrain, and additional motors. After selecting these, follow the prompts.
