Step 1 - Topic Choices

You can select off of the following list. If you have a topic you would like to present about which is not on this list, please speak to me as we may be able to make it work.

  • Environment Impact of Computers - Energy use, disposal of electronics
  • Computer Ethical Issues - Sharing passwords, music and video file downloading, software piracy, keystroke logging, phishing, cyberbullying
  • Postsecondary and Career Opportunities - What are options after high school, how much can you earn in computing fields
  • Emerging Technologies (pick one or two) - Examples: upcoming developments in cell phones, drones, 3D printing, self driving cars
  • Combining Computer Science with Other Fields (pick one or two) - Examples: bioinformatics, geology, economics, linguistics, health informatics, climatology, sociology, art
  • Theoretical Computer Science Topics (pick one or two) - cryptography, computability theory, data mining, artificial intelligence, robotics, computer vision, image processing

I'd like to have a maximum of two groups on a single topic (and ideally only one) so we get as much variety as possible.
