Overview and Topic Exploration

The final project will explore the design process for a piece of software. You won't be actually coding the software, but you will

  • Explore different industries and the type of software those industries may require
  • Create a Requirements Document for a piece of software.
  • Propose data structures required for the software
  • Create illustrations of the various screens and GUI elements the software would contain

Details of each of these sections will be forthcoming.

Topic Exploration

Pick three industries.

  • At least one should be a skilled trade found on the list at this link.
  • Consider choosing one industry that you would consider getting into as a career.

Do some research into each industry, and consider the type of software the industry may require. For each industry you choose, propose two software ideas (so you'll have six ideas in total). I don't need much detail at this point - roughly one to three sentences for each idea is sufficient.
